This brush might be the most useful appliance maintenance tool I own

It doesn’t have to be overly complicated when it comes to the types of tools you need to make your home run as well as it can. Sure, you can opt for a combo vacuum and mop that does multiple jobs to reduce the number of machines you need. But you can also rely on simple tools to get the job done.

When it comes to keeping your home clean, there are devices both indoors and outdoors that you can rely on. Handheld steamers, robot vacuums, or hedge trimmers all serve specific purposes and can all be incredibly useful. But they can also cost you a decent amount of money. For something as simple as $13, you can get multiple tools that work great in your home.

Tool brushes are very useful

These are for hard to reach areas.

If you’re like me and you use a sponge to clean up most of your kitchen after dinner, that’s totally understandable. I prefer something like Scrub Daddy which has a good size and coverage for all kinds of pots and pans. However, due to its size, it can be difficult to use for close quarters.

For example, our blender is used almost daily for various reasons. Protein shakes, chutneys, or homemade hummus are just some of the common purposes we fire up the blender. While it’s great to use, the blades themselves aren’t easily removable, so you need to clean around them while they’re inside the container.

Using a sponge is not ideal for this type of cleaning job. It is difficult to get under the blade and remove any dry food that is stuck there. This is where tool brushes can come into play. The ones I prefer are the OXO Good Grips Kitchen Appliance Cleaning Set.

This cleaning set is a 4-in-1 set for cleaning all types of appliances. You can use it all over the kitchen, which is why I find this tool so versatile.

This gets into the nitty-gritty

It works where other devices have failed.

What I really like about having multiple tool brushes is that I can use them for different purposes. There are bristles, scraper heads, chisels and more to clean the small crevices of your machines. I personally love using these brushes in the kitchen.

The loop brush head can wrap around the blades of the blender or scrub near the edges of the dishwasher, making it my most used part of the appliance brush. I’ve used several OXO products before, like the salad spinner or the toilet brush, and this is the one I come back to the most.

There’s a noticeable hook between the two brushes that connects them, so I’m able to store them as one piece on the sink. They are not very long, which also makes them easier to keep track of.

I have an air fryer that is small and it can be difficult to get in to drain all the grease from the grooves in the bottom of the bucket. The angled chisel head makes it into the groove and cleans the air fryer easily. It’s also a good idea if you need to clean up some grout and want a safe head that won’t scratch the surface.

There is no appliance that I have not used in my kitchen.

It is soft but strong.

We use our food processor a lot to mix the oats and nuts for the granola and cut the food into small pieces for the mix. The processor has several parts that need to be disassembled and cleaned.

When making something like nut butter, it can be difficult to get into all the areas that need to be cleaned with a large sponge or cleaning tool. But this accessory brush set has multiple heads that can reach.

I have used it to clean my microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, blender, food processor, and more. One of the best reasons to use a plastic scraper head is for small grooves in a waffle maker. It can be impossible to get into with a sponge and you don’t want to use a metal scraper because it will damage the non-stick coating.

Being able to have something so sophisticated and versatile that doesn’t cost much in my kitchen at all. I haven’t tried the other tool brushes because I’m so impressed with this set. My refrigerator has been clean since I used it to get into the door grooves. It has helped eliminate odors and smells in my kitchen by getting rid of lingering food.

I’m really happy to add something like this appliance brush to my cleaning inventory. They make hard to reach places in your kitchen easy. I like my tools to be free of crumbs and food residue and these little brushes do more than a sponge can.
