iRobot just announced its first non-robotic floor cleaner. gave $399 Roomba Electro Plus There is a 5-in-1 hard floor cleaner that combines vacuuming, mopping and disinfecting, but you have to operate it yourself. The company also announced updates to its line of Roomba robot vacuums, launching five new models with more suction power, smaller footprints, and lower prices. These largely replace the line coming in 2025.
Designed specifically for hard floors, the new Electro Plus is similar to a new generation of manual wet-dry floor cleaners. the dream, Roebrookand others. iRobot’s distinguishing feature is Electro’s ability to turn regular tap water into a commercial-grade disinfectant cleaning solution that’s safe for children and pets by simply electrolyzing it.
A cordless vacuum/mop has a self-cleaning roller mop and a motor to help propel it, reducing the need for manual effort. Its charging dock washes and dries the mop after use with hot water and hot air, but you need to drain, clean and refill its water tank.

iRobot says the Electro Plus is something its customers have been asking for, and fills a void in their homes. “If they have a mess that they want to clean up, they probably want to do it quickly with this type of handheld product,” said Adam Pope, iRobot’s chief engineer and vice president. the edge. “Personally, I like that I can clean my bathroom and kitchen with it and let Roomba take care of the rest of the house.”
The main innovation in Electroplus is that it does not require a separate cleaning solution. Instead, it uses electrolyzing technology developed by iRobot’s parent company, Picea, to turn tap water into a commercial-grade disinfectant solution capable of killing 99.9 percent of bacteria, viruses, fungi and other germs.
Picea, which previously served as iRobot’s ODM, acquired the company this year after it filed for bankruptcy. The companies were already working together – the lidar-based Roomba line-up introduced in 2025 was co-developed with Picea.

Along with the Electro Plus, iRobot has launched five new Roomba robot vacuums for the US. These new models, which were first announced in Europe in May, are mostly incremental updates to the robots, which have come down significantly in price.
Top of the line Roomba Max 775 Combo Robot + Auto Wash Dock ($999.99) is an upgrade to the Roomba Max 705 Combo ($1,299.99). This roller-mop robot adds increased suction power (30,000Pa), hot water mop washing, and hot water spot cleaning.
gave Roomba Max 715 Vacuum Robot + Auto Empty Dock ($699.99), updates the Roomba Max 705. ($899.99) Increased suction power, from 13,000Pa to 30,000Pa above, and with lower cost. Both robots have Roomba’s signature dual rubber roller brushes with anti-tangle tech, along with the lidar navigation and AI-powered obstacle detection of previous models.
Midrange Roomba Plus 575 Combo Robot + Auto Wash Dock ($799.99) replaces the Roomba 505 ($999.99) and is almost half the size thanks to a new dual lidar sensor. Adam Pope, iRobot’s chief engineer and vice president, explains. the edge This new technology enabled them to fit more tech into a smaller space. With 9cm of clearance and reduced width, the 575 should fit more easily under furniture and cupboards.
The Mopping Robot Vacuum features dual-spinning mop pads, 20,000Pa suction boost, hot water mop washing and drying, and an onboard water tank. It uses a camera for AI-powered obstacle and dirt detection, enabling a Smart Scrub feature that can move back and forth across dirty areas. It can now even climb thresholds up to 35mm high.
Same goes for the new one. Roomba Plus 515 Combo Robot + Auto Wash Dock ($699.99), which has similar functionality to the 575, with lower threshold clearance, slightly less suction power, and no camera, so no AI-powered obstacle or stain detection.
gave Roomba Plus 415 Combo Robot + Auto Wash Dock ($599.99) replaces the Roomba 405 ($799.99), adding increased suction power, anti-tangle brush tech, and the ability to extend its mops. It lacks the water tank on board the 515 and does not use hot water to wash its mops.
The US lineup does not include the Roomba Plus 615 and Roomba 675 roller mop models, or the entry-level. Roomba 115 Combowhich are available in other countries. All new models are available for pre-order on irobot.com today, July 7th.
