Gmail is having issues with spam and misclassification

If your Gmail account seems to be working properly today, you’re not alone.

Official Status Dashboard According to Google Workspace, the issues started around 5 a.m. Pacific on Saturday, with users experiencing both misclassification of emails in their inboxes and additional spam warnings.

For me, this meant that my primary inbox was full of messages that would normally appear in the promotions, social, or update inboxes, and that the spam warning was appearing on emails from known senders.

Other users have complained on social media “All spam going straight to my inbox” And that seems to be Gmail’s filters “Suddenly completely stuck.”

“We are actively working to resolve this issue,” Google said. “As always, we encourage users to follow standard best practices when engaging with messages from unknown senders.”
