TGE finalises deal to acquire 50% stake in Ritz Carlton, Perth

AMDT Digital subsidiary Generation Accessories Group (TGE) has entered into a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire a 50% interest in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Perth, Australia for £4100m (£66.4m).

SPA had approached FEC Holdings and FEC Hotel, which has agreed to sell the stake under the terms stipulated in the agreement.

The agreement includes the purchase of sale shares and the assignment of sale loans.

The acquisition follows expansion efforts by TGE in the international hospitality sector.

TGE has a diverse portfolio of hotel interests that include properties in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, London and Malaysia.

The Ritz-Carlton, Perth is a five-star hotel located on the Elizabeth Quay waterfront and comprises 205 guest rooms and suites.

The hotel features amenities such as a rooftop bar and an infinity pool overlooking the river. Its food options incorporate local ingredients from Western Australia.

A part of Marriott International, the Ritz-Carlton brand operates over 100 hotels worldwide. Perth is recognized as one of its main locations.

France-headquartered TGE was jointly formed by AMDT Group, AMDT Idea Group and AMDT Digital.

The group operates internationally in the fields of multimedia, entertainment, cultural activities, hospitality and VIP services.

TGE Board of Directors Chairman Dr. Faridun Hamadullahpour said: “With the successful execution of one of our spas to acquire the 100th Ritz-Carlton worldwide, we, TGE, now plan to expand our hotel portfolio across major continents including Australia, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Malaysia, London, and New York City.”
