According to Pew, 21% of American adults said they’ve used X, compared to just 8% who used Threads, and 4% who used Bluesky. Meanwhile, Truth Social attracted 3% of American adults.

Pew noted that many of these services have seen their adoption increase over time. TikTok is up 21% in 2021, and Instagram, now used by half of American adults, is up 40% in 2021. A third of adults now use WhatsApp, up from 23 percent in 2021.

Reddit, which has become a darling of the AI ​​era thanks to multiple content licensing deals, was used by just 18 percent of American adults in 2021, compared to 26 percent today.
