Well, I’ve tried a number of navigation apps over the years, with Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze being my most used ones. Each app has its own strengths. I love Google Maps for its real-time updates, local business information, ability to share trip progress, and amazing help with directions. It also gives you live traffic insight so you know the best time to leave.

I sometimes use Apple Maps for better privacy, AR walking directions, and the ability to create custom directions. It also offers an expert rating feature that helps you find the best restaurants. While Vaz stands out with its real-time crowd statistics, police and speed trap alerts, and social experience.

However, when I’m traveling offline or without an unlimited data plan, I can’t fully rely on either of them. Google Maps offers an offline mode, but it feels limited because you can’t download entire countries at once. Apple Maps also struggles without an internet connection, while Waze simply cannot function. On the other hand, Vigo here is built for offline use. It works really well without any loading screens. The app is completely free and lets you download entire countries, which makes the app even more impressive and worth trying.
